In the name of God Amen I Mary Payne of old Stratford in the parish of Covesgrave in the County of Northampton widow being sicke and weake in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be Almighty God doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner following First I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the meritorious Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon of all my sins and as for my body I comitt the same to the Earth from whence it came to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named in the Church on the Westside of Stony Stratford in the County of Bucks and to be interred neare unto my late deare husband And as for that worldly estate which the Lord of his mercy hath bestowed upon me I dispose thereof as followeth First I give and devise unto my honoured Father William Porter and Edward Lane of Tatthall End in the parish of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks Esq. their Heyres Executors Administrators and Assignes for ever All my Messuages Lands and Tenements whatsoever and wheresoever in trust and to and for the severall and respective uses intents and purposes hereafter mentioned expressed limitted and decalred (that is to say) in trust that they the said William Porter and Edward Lane and the Survivor of them and the Heyres Executors or Administrators of such Survivor shall and will out of the rents issues and proffitts of my reall and personall estate pay or cause to be paid unto the severall persons hereafter named the severall and respective sumes of money hereafter likewise named (that is to say) unto my Sister Ann Seyton the now wife of Daniell Seyton of Winslow in the County of Bucks Butcher the interest or produce of Fifty pounds yearly and every yeare during her natuarll life to be paid at two equall payments in the yeare (that is to say) on the Five and Twentieth day of March and the Nine and Twentieth day of September the first payment to begin on such of the said dayes as shall next happen within Six monthes after my decease and alsoe shall pay or cause to be paid unto my Sister in Lawe Alice Bland of Grafton Regis in the said County of Northamptonshire Fifty shillings per annum dureing her life at the Feasts aforesaid and in manner as aforesaid but in case she shall not care to cloath her Children then my will and meaning is that my said Trustees or the Survivor of them or the Heyres Executors Administrators or Assignes of the Survivor of them shall and may lay out the said Fifty shillings per annum for her childrens use in such manner as they shall thinke fit and alsoe shall pay or cause to be paid unto my Kinswoman Mary Newman of Heavencoate in the aforesaid County of Northamptonshire the sume of Ten pounds within Six monthes after my decease Item my will and meaning and desire is that my said Trustees shall lay out and disburse such sume or sumes of money out of my personall estate as they shall thinke fitt for the putting and placing out Apprentices of Tobiah Roce [Rosse] And his brother the two closest sonns of John Roce [Rosse] of Potterspury in the County of Northamptonshire to some honest handy craft Tradesmen as my Trustees shall thinke fit when they shall be of age and fitt to be putt out Item my will and meaning is and I do hereby direct and appointe that my said Trustees shall and will out of my said personall estate with the most convenient speed that may be lay out the summe of One Hundred pounds in the purchasing of an estate of Inheritance in land and settle the same upon my Kinswoman Elizabeth Newman of Newport Pagnell in the County of Bucks Spinster and the Heyres of her body Item my will and meaning is that my said Father William Porter and my honoured Father [Mother] Ruth Porter shall yearly and every yeare during their joynt lives and the life of the Survivor of them take and receive to his and their owne use and uses out of my said reall and personall estate the interest and produce of One Hundred and Twenty pounds Item my will and meaning is and I doe hereby direct and appoint that my said Trustees shall pay or cause to be paid unto my Kinsman Richard Newman Cittizen and Tallow Chandler of London the summe of One Hundred pounds at such time as he shall be out of his time for setting of him up his said trade Item after my debts and funerall charges shall be paid and discharged my will and meaning is that my said Messuage or Tenement in Stony Stratford shall be sold by my said Trustees and the moneys arising by the sale thereof and all the rest and residue of my said reall and personall estate shall be layd out with the most convenient speed as may be by my said Trustees and the Survivor of them and the Heyres of such Survivor as their discretion shall guide them in the purchasing of an estate of Inheritance in Land and Settled to the uses following (that is to say) to the use of the said Richard Newman for and during the terme of his naturall life without impeachment of or for any manner of wast and from and after his decease to the use of his first sonn and Heyres of the body of such first sonn And for default of such Issue to all and every the sonn and sonns of the body of the said Richard Newman as they shall be in seniority of age and priority of birth and of the Heyres of their body being alwayes to be preferred before the younger of the said sonns and the Heyres of their bodyes And for default of such Issue to the use of all and every the daughter and daughters of the said Richard Newman and the Heyres of their bodyes And for default of such Issue to the right Heyres of the said Richard Newman for ever And my will and meaning is that until such purchase can be bought as aforesaid my said Trustees or the Survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of the Survivor of them shall putt and place out my said personall estate of interest on such Security or Securities as they shall thinke fit and alsoe that they shall from time to time deduct and be reimbursed out of my said reall and personall estate all such summe or summes of money costs and charges as they or either or any of them shall be at and putt to in and about the execution of the trust hereby in the reposed and it is my will and meaning that in the case any summe or summes of money hereafter to be lost my said Trustees nor either of them nor their Heyres Executors or Administrators shalbe noe ways lyable or obliged to make good the same out of their owne estates Item I doe give and desire the said Edward Lane to take and accept of two guineas out of my said personall estate to buy him a ring And I doe hereby make and ordaine my Father William Porter and the said Edward Lane Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand and seale this Five and Twentieth day of February In the Eleventh
