Ann Palmer 1836

In the Name of God Amen I Ann Palmer widow in the Parish of Cosgrove in the County of Northampton being in perfect health of mind and memory thanks be given and to God calling in to mind the mortality of my body I and knowing that it is appointed for all once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally first of all  I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at this great discretion of my executrix Rhode Phipps nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection and are a shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God and as to touching such worldly property where we as it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give and desire and dispose of the same of the following manner and form first I give to my Brother Richard Lovell the sum of nineteen pounds Secondly to my Brother Edward Lovel the sum of nineteen pounds and thereby to my Brother George Lovell the sum of nineteen pounds to be paid by the executrix Rhode Phipps also I give I give my bequeath to Rhode Phipps my dearly beloved Sister whom I likewise make and ordain the sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and all my property household goods debts and moveable effects to Rhode Phipps Executrix In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one Ann Palmer
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Ann Palmer for her last will and testament in the presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names Henry Horton Henry Horn Elizabeth Horn Anne Todd

Appeared Personally Henry Horton of the parish of Yardley Gobion in the county of Northampton Schoolmaster and made oath that he is the drawer a writer and one of the subscribed Witnesses to the last Will and Testament of and Palmer later the parish of Cosgrove in the County of Northampton Widow deceased hereunto annexed to the lastly made oath that in reference to the omission of the day and a month on which the said Will was executed if by the said deceased this deponent saith lead us verily and in his conscience believe the said Will was executed by the said deceased on the twenty third day of August eighteen hundred and thirty one in the presence of this deponent and of her subscribed Witnesses thereto Henry Horton on the 4th day of June 1836 the said Henry Horton was duly sworn to the above affidavit in virtue of the annexed Con…  Before me J.
