The Chancel of Cosgrove Church was Beautified in 1861 by two Stained glass Memorial Windows with new stone Work to the same placed therein by the Rev John Graham the Rector at a cost of £67 10s and in 1865 further improvements were made by the Rector having the Chancel thoroughly repaired and a Handsome new door erected New seats placed New altar rails &c at a further cost of £113 16s

  At a Vestry meeting held in the Parish Church of Cosgrove this first day of April 1861 the above accounts were examined and approved. There appears a Balance in hand of ten pounds fourteen shillings and 1¾.  Mr Thos T Dawson was nominated and appointed Churchwarden by the Rector and Mr William Clarke was appointed by the Parishioners. .

The Parish Church was thoroughly repaired in 1865. The old seats were removed and the new Stained deal seats substituted Four new Windows with stone Mullions and Tracery were put in the Organ loft taken away and the Organ removed to the ground Floor. A New Heating Apparatus placed in the Aisle. A new entrance door made to the Gallery the Stone work cleansed and repaired and the whole Interior renovated at a Cost of £421 9s 11d which Cost was defrayed by Voluntary Contributions as under Thomas T Dawson and William Clarke Churchwardens.

1866 At a Vestry meeting held in the Church this 4th day April 1866 the above accounts were examined and approved. There appears to be a balance of Eight Pounds Nineteen Shillings And Eightpence due to the Churchwardens.

Mr Thomas T Dawson was nominated and appointed Churchwarden by the Rector, and Mr George Edwd Thorne by the Parishioners.

The Rev Drummond  P Chase* Principal of St Mary’s Hall Oxford having erected and fixed a pair of handsome Oak doors to the entrance of the Parish Church of Cosgrove it was resolved at a Vestry meeting held in the Church this 4th day of April 1866 that the best thanks of the Parishioners be given to him. And that the Rector be requested to forward a copy of this resolution to the Revd Gentleman signed

*He was born on 14 September 1820, at Château de Saulruit, near St. Omer. He was the second son of John Woodford Chase of Cosgrave, Northamptonshire. He matriculated at Pembroke College, Oxford on 15 February 1839. He became scholar of Oriel College on 22 May 1839, and was one of four who obtained first-class honours in classics in Michaelmas term, 1841. He graduated B.A. on 25 November 1841, proceeding M.A. on 14 June 1844 and D.D. in 1880, and was ordained deacon in 1844 and priest in 1849. In 1848, Chase became vice-principal of St. Mary Hall, Oxford.

1869 A Vestry meeting was held in the Parish Church upon Friday April the 22nd /70 at 10 am pursuant to the notice given for the purpose of electing Churchwardens for the ensuing year. There appears to be a balance in favour of the Parish of £3.9.10d.  The Rev G Jenkins nominated Mr John Warren to be his Churchwarden. It was proposed by J C Mansel and seconded by C G Boulton Esq that Mr M Willison be Churchwarden for the ensuing year.
